The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country has launched a relief fund for people who may be affected by flooding as this week’s storms inundate communities still dealing with impacts from last year’s deadly July 4 flood.
The foundation announced in a Thursday morning news release that the Texas Hill Country Flood Relief Fund was launched to support recovery efforts for individuals, businesses and organizations affected by the flooding.
“Our hearts break that the Texas Hill Country is once again facing catastrophic flooding. Just one year after the devastating July 2025 floods, many of our neighbors are again in harm’s way,” said Austin Dickson, the foundation’s CEO, in a statement.
Funds raised will support those affected by the flooding and help provide emergency assistance, essential services and long-term recovery.
“People from across Texas and around the world came together to help Kerr County begin the long road to recovery,” Dickson added. “As first responders and local and state officials continue their response efforts, the Community Foundation’s role is to help ensure communities have the philanthropic resources they need to recover in the weeks, months and years ahead.”
