Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country launches 2026 flood relief fund

AUSTIN (KXAN) — One year after the July 2025 floods swept through the Texas Hill Country, the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country has launched the Texas Hill Country Flood Relief Fund for this year.

The new fund will provide a trusted way for individuals, businesses and organizations to support the communities affected by the July 2026 flooding across the Texas Hill Country. The funds raised will also provide emergency assistance, essential services and long-term recovery through nonprofit organizations and civic partners serving affected residents.

“Our hearts break that the Texas Hill Country is once again facing catastrophic flooding,” Austin Dickson, CEO of the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country, said in a press release. “Just one year after the devastating July 2025 floods, many of our neighbors are again in harm’s way. People from across Texas and around the world came together to help Kerr County begin the long road to recovery. As first responders and local and state officials continue their response efforts, the Community Foundation’s role is to help ensure communities have the philanthropic resources they need to recover in the weeks, months and years ahead.”

Individuals who wish to help the recovery efforts can donate to the flood relief fund.

The fund is separate from the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund created following the July 2025 disaster.
