The Kerrville Parks and Recreation Department invites the community and visitors to a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the restoration of Guadalupe Park, 701 Guadalupe St., which has been closed since the July 2025 flood. The ceremony will take place Friday, July 17, at noon.
Newly restored features at Guadalupe Park include a full-size basketball court with lighting, fencing, handrails, public art, four ADA-accessible tables, sidewalk connections, trash cans, a drinking fountain and an inclusive playground. The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country and National Basketball Association (NBA) teams from Texas, including the Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks and San Antonio Spurs, funded the project. The department thanked the organizations for their dedication to promoting wellness, inclusivity, recovery and recreation within the community.
