Austin wine lovers will have the chance to sip, savor, and give back at the same time when ATX Somms hosts the second annual Grapes For Good fundraiser this September. The event brings together some of Austin’s top wine professionals, acclaimed restaurants, and community leaders to support Good Work Austin, a nonprofit dedicated to helping the people behind the city’s hospitality industry.
Grapes For Good is ATX Somms’ signature charity event, offering guests an intimate tasting experience featuring exceptional wines from around the world. More than 20 sommeliers and wine professionals will pour and share wines they are passionate about, including premium and allocated selections that will also be available for purchase by the glass or bottle.
The event benefits Good Work Austin, which focuses on workforce development, advocacy, education, and healthcare initiatives for hospitality workers. Organizers say the fundraiser aims to strengthen the local service industry while celebrating the professionals who help make Austin’s food and beverage scene thrive.
Last year, the inaugural Grapes For Good event raised nearly $50,000 for the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country to support Kerr County flood relief efforts, demonstrating the wine community’s commitment to giving back.
In addition to world-class wine tastings, guests can enjoy bites from several of Austin’s most celebrated culinary destinations, including:
- Hillside Farmacy
- The Guest House
- Lenoir
- El Raval
- Thai Fresh
- Casa Fina
- Emmer & Rye Hospitality Group
Guests will also be able to enjoy Jamón Ibérico provided by Wilson Daniels and Familia Torres.
