The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country awarded the Hunt Preservation Society $300,000 in emergency relief funds this week to families still reeling from the devastating Kerr County floods.
During a special event at Hunt School, 155 households received cash assistance through personal checks.
Volunteers, local teachers and bankers joined forces to ensure the process ran smoothly, offering support and reassurance to those navigating the long road to recovery.
The effort is part of a broader wave of support sweeping across the Hill Country, as local organizations continue to collaborate with county officials, nonprofits and residents to restore lives and livelihoods.
